We came to Bequest after my father passed away unexpectedly and left behind a large stack of papers that none of us understood. The sorting session gave us a clear picture of what we actually had — land documents, insurance, bank papers — all labelled and in a folder we could carry to the Land Office. Supranee was calm and unhurried throughout. That mattered more than I expected.

The succession education session was genuinely useful. I had no idea how things work under Thai law, and the session laid it all out in plain English — which documents appear, in what order, and who handles what. Kritpong was honest that some things needed a lawyer and pointed me toward one. I found that refreshing. One note: the session could have run a bit longer to cover the Land Office process more thoroughly.

We did the full programme for my father while he is still in good health and wanted things to be clear for us children one day. Four sessions spread over three weeks, and the result is a proper archive box with a numbered index that tells you exactly where to look for any document. Three families, three different situations
Challenge
A family in three provinces
After the death of an elderly parent in Krabi, the family was spread across Bangkok, Phuket, and abroad. Nobody agreed on what papers existed, and there was no central list. Two adult children had their own copies of some documents; nobody knew which were current.
What we did
Document Sorting Session, followed by a second session one week later to cover the remaining papers found in a second location. We produced two copies of the master index — one for each sibling group — using identical labelling so both copies referred to the same structure.
Outcome
The family could proceed to their first legal appointment with a shared, agreed inventory. The lawyer noted it was the clearest file she had been handed by a new client in some time. Total time from first contact to completed index: 14 days.

Challenge
Planning ahead, from a distance
A British couple living in Koh Lanta knew they needed to organise their Thai and UK documents but did not know where to begin, or which professional to approach first. They were not facing an immediate estate matter but wanted things in order proactively.
What we did
Succession Concepts Education session, followed by a Document Sorting Session a month later. The education session helped them understand which document types were relevant in a Thai context and which aspects would need an international lawyer.
Outcome
They arrived at their subsequent appointment with an international legal firm fully prepared — knowing what they had, what it meant, and what questions to ask. The legal process took roughly half the time their solicitor expected, partly because of how well-prepared the file was.

Challenge
A parent who wanted to be clear
An elderly woman in Krabi town wanted to write down her wishes and put her records in order while she was well and able to do so herself. Her children lived in different cities and she did not want to leave them guessing after she was gone.
What we did
The full Catalogue, Archive & Wishes Programme over five sessions across four weeks. We built the complete record catalogue together and she dictated her personal wishes document, which she reviewed and approved before it was included in the archive.
Outcome
A complete archive box, master index, personal wishes document, and a clear note about which professionals to contact first. Her children each received a copy of the index at her request. She described the finished programme as giving her "a very settled feeling".
"It is done. My children know where everything is. That is a relief I did not expect."
